While Brandi was the only one not to go to track shot, I was the only one to not work at Opryland.
don't feel bad. i not only didn't work at Opryland, i didn't work at all. i didn't have my first job until after i graduated from high school. so all you joe schmoes were working during the summer and I was just goofing off I guess. would've been nice to have the memories though.
my daughter is a big Avril LaVigne fan. She loves to sing "you make me so hot . . . " which is actually quite disturbing coming from a 4 yr old. but cute nonetheless.

Songs/Bands that remind me of HS?.. Well there are a lot. Nirvana is obvious but definately not the only or best one. White Zombie, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pantera, Metallica, Sepultura, MegaDeath, Tool, Stone Temple Pilots, Faith no More, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Green Day.. I know there are many more I can't think of atm. But my favorite band in HS was White Zombie. .. . .
I remember buying the La Sexorsisto cassette tape. I listened to it non stop. Definately one of my favorite bands in HS.

Who remembers 103 kdf bitching out and going country. That still pisses me off. I was more into the classic rock in H.S. but there were so many bad ass bands in our H.S. years. Even the 1 or 2 hit wonders kicked ass it was the era of buying singles. Filter, White Town, Blur, Blind Melon, Toad the Wet Sprocket, .........

Toad the Wet Sprocket - Yeah! I remember trying to express to my dad just what those lyrics meant to me: "And the air so soft outside, is saying everythiiiiiiing, everythiiiing, all i want is to feel this way, to be this close to hear it say." I just felt this feeling of being alive and how the air and the little things can really move you. He was more uptight and didn't share the feeling, and it was probably because he is very practical and logical, rather than passionate. And when we are young, passion is primary. I still feel pretty doggone young.

Soundgarden "Black Hole Sun"
For some odd reason, this song pretty much sums up my high school years.

NIck- Thank you for the compliment. That means a lot to me. Right now my voice is most used for lullabies or calming the baby. Speaking of Opryland- I LOVED THAT PLACE!!! That had to be the best summer of my life.
I have a picture that I am going to try to post, but we just gave our scanner to my mom and dad so I will have to go over there and use it. It is from Mrs. Glasgow's little blue kindergarten at Madison C.o.C. When I found it I couldn't believe how many of us were in it.
Working out there was great!!!!! There were a lot of us from Goodpasture there that summer.

Just be careful of the nickname JJ...it seems to stick more than people want it to. Thankfully I got away from it due to Josh Jarrett and now my new step-bro is named JJ. I have to admit, I have always loved my name. But how many people get to claim they were named after John Lennon's mother?!?
I understand completely. My mother is named Judy (Hey Jude) and I am Bennie and the Jets, Paul McCartney and Wings. My dad wanted me to be named John Paul.

I want to name my first boy Harrison but I have a feeling that when I finally do get married...the hubby won't agree. So I guess it will be used for my next puppy
Back to songs...I miss hearing Michael Agee sing Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing to me in the mornings. And I know that a lot of the people on here weren't country listeners (as I hate country) but anything Garth Brooks makes me think of hs.
And everything I hear "Closer" by NIN I think of Allen. Is that odd?
Uhh...yeah. I've said it before. Sleep deprivation. That and the fact that I signed on to do a mommy column for this local crap paper (on the level of the Nashville Scene on pot) and had just finished a long run of typing. Don't worry - 5 non Blonds did not make an appearance in the column. And even though it's a crap paper, I assume that there is someone checking for correct band names and junk like that.
Thanks for keeping me on my toes, Hurley!

Two girls for every boy! I had fun that day, and it was a compliment to be sought out by Miss. Witters and Miss. Moore. I stand honored by that to this day.
And that Green Day song is O.K., I just prefer their first CD.

Hootie and I were buds...still were in college after he left Western KY to come to TTU with me and Walker. Anyone seen those two?! (sorry wrong topic, I know)
Does anyone remember when the Titanic song played the part where it said, "Wearing this, wearing only this." That is the only part of the senior walk I actually remember!

Allen, I think you are thinking of Kyle Patterson, not Pitt. Kyle Pitty graduated with us. Hootie is J. Robertson. It's a long story that I'm still not sure I know all of, but it has something to do with asking Janet to a Hootie and the Blowfish concert. Something like he bought her a T-shirt and she was supposed to pay him back, but never did. Middle School drama I think.
Hurley - I didn't end up walking with you though. Scotty Raymer didn't have anybody to walk with him so I walked with him.
Julie - Robertson works at Hendersonville High School. I taught next door to him for a year teaching 8th grade then he moved to the High School. He coaches Basketball with Ron Sarver for any of you who were at GHS long enough to remember him. I think Rob and Adam Walker are still buds. At least they were when we taught together.

Yes. He did call himself Reggie, after Reggie Miller.
Hey I see your on here so I'll ask a question. I'm having trouble posting Larkin's new picture. Followed your directions perfectly. All that comes up is the location- no picture. Any ideas? I am usually a computer person. No clue what I did wrong.
