| Oh, I don't have debt in the literal sense. I just live the Capitol one way of life in everything else. I love Ramsey. _________________ The world is going crazy, I am just cutting in line. |

| In the sense that people who follow Christ must follow His teachings, I feel we need to have that example in our lives. I believe that if He didn't speak out about topics that were going to be major deciding factors regarding entrance to Heaven (which He refers to as God's kingdom), then those topics he did not speak about, or more importantly those where He gave no decision or direction at all, are being weighed by us, not by Him. Since He was the Son of God, and is the ultimate Judge in the end. He would not expect us to hold ourselves to the scrutiny of others, since other people are just that, people, and fallible.
His word, the Gospel is infallible, and I don't know if this is right, but I tend to trust it the most of all the words written down by men in the Bible. It is repeated four times by four different individuals. One a doctor, one a once-villified tax collector, one a young man, and one a great example of Love. All of the men who wrote the Bible sinned and many did so to a great degree. We should be celebrating the fact that we are accepted and redeemed.
The bottom line belief I have is that our relationship with Christ is just simple. Us and Christ. There is no go-between, there are no jury members, and opinions and beliefs thrust upon us directly (for example the Christians exiled from France), or indirectly through reproof and correction by other people, will not stand. They have no chance to "testify" to our character in the final judgement. He knows those who believe and follow His teachings, and He knows those who sin and do not. By the way, all of us have believed and followed, and have also sinned and have not followed. Humility, servanthood, compassion, kindness, faith, and good works are all things that are important that he mentions several times. These are the things to strive for on this Earth, and these are the things He holds dear. Worry about the afterlife, but remember that it is what we do now that is important in the end. Julie is right, and it makes me think of the parable of the talents. We must do what we can to use them. |

So of course we all are sinners. But we don't have to be "damned" because of it. "To err is human, and to forgive, divine." I will go right along with you Hurley, because I am a sinner too. I'm not speaking on here to change anyone, just to say that I believe what Jesus said the most of all the words in the Bible. His opinion is what I care about.
Now are you still into Dave Letterman? Or who is your favorite late night talk show host now? Mine's Conan. I can't wait until Leno moves over. |
