Hi Janet! I'm real glad you made it here. I didn't know you moved back to Middle Tenn, that's cool. Tell your dad I said hi, he is one of my heroes!

Hi Evan! How are ya?
My Husband and his company work out at the Nissan Plant. He has worked out there for over 8 years. I wonder if you know each other? I've never been in the plant ...Justin says it's really big. They do a lot of work for Nissan but the main thing they make are the "trees" for the bumpers. Does your family still live in Greenbrier? I thought I had seen Erin one day at Wendys in Goodlettsville but she was leaving so I did not get a chance to talk to her. Glad you could join us!

Erin cleaned my teeth a couple of times when she was working for my cousin Dr. Bush. I haven't seen her in a while though. How's she been?

My husband does not actually work for Nissan he is a contracted company. (which means they always have other jobs outside of nissan)BUT! I did ask him the same question...he said no that they will still need the items they make or fabricate for any vehicle they produce there. If I'm correct it's the truck and SUV they are having a hard time selling but the cars are still doing well.

I did hear about that on the news. People are buys less SUVs and larger vehicles due to their poor gas mileage. This is really effecting companies who produced more SUVs over cars recently.

Probably so hard b/c of the recent influx of SUV sales over the past few years. They became extremely popular and everyone was buying them, H3's, Navigator's.

Now they are being demonized by the conservationists (I'm somewhat of a conservationist, myself, so no offense to anyone) and becoming too expensive to own b/c of gas mileage.

I heard a conspiracy theory that the government, or someone with influence, is keeping gas prices high to "encourage" us to drive hybrids or small cars and actively seek other forms of energy. Didn't mean to take a political turn on this thread, just an interesting theory.
