Has anyone seen or heard from the following...

Julie, you've always got a place to stay any time you want to come down. Actually, I just heard from Neely yesterday and she literally lives in the neighborhood behind mine so we could all get together. And it looks like we might be moving up to the big ATL when our military obligations are up. I'm still pulling for moving to Florida but my husband's family is moving to Atlanta next month so it's up in the air right now. But I do know I'll be visiting quite often so we'll have to get together to catch up and I can introduce you to my gorgeous hubby.

I'm curious to know what's going on with Katy Pat nowadays. I looked up her parents contact info on the white pages and I might give her mom a call to see if we can find anything out. I saw where Phillip said he thought she probably didn't want to be found. Does anyone really think that's true? I saw her often in college and even had a class with her early on, but we lost touch after graduation.

I guess that all depends on how the war is going in two years. I'll admit, I really do love the Army and definitely don't want to give it up but nowadays I just can't have the Army and a family. If things calm down or the tours go down to 6 months, I'll most likely stick with it. It all depends on my husband and what he wants to do too. I don't think he's ready to give up his helicopter just yet and is talking about joining the guard as well. So I guess we'll just have to play that one by ear depending on where we end up moving because different states have different types of units.

one of my best friends is in Ft. Rutger AL in flight school. he loves helicopters, too. he spent 18 months in Iraq a couple of years ago and they say once he gets out of flight school he will go back for 12 months. talking to him you'd think he was excited about it. he's one of those guys that bleeds R,W, & B.

I love hearing the military talk. Susan, as your brother might have told you...I have dated a lot of military (including the current one) and my new step-bro is a former Marine (and I mean he JUST got out).

Anytime you want to visit...come on up!! I don't know how long I will be living here actually...I have been in the big city long enough. It is time to move on to a more relaxed venue.

Hey Allen...did you attack anyone on facebook with the invite to the forum? I feel sure you got myspace covered. Just curious.

Anyone know how to get in touch with Bethany? My daughter wears a prosthetic and Bethany was so confident and unaffected I was hoping to pry a little parenting advice from her. My husband was so worried that Hannah was destined for a life as a social misfit, but just having known Bethany gave me so much hope in our darkest times that she could grow up and be totally fabulous and accepted.

Allen is right I ran into her at walmart. I know she was staying with her Mom when she first moved back but I don't know where or if they moved. Her mom lives in Goodlettsville

Skyla...my niece will be wearing a prosthetic when she is older. And I have thought about the same thing. One of my best memories of Bethany was when we went roller skating and this kid came up asking her where her arm was...she looked at me in shock and asked, "Julie, where did it go? I lost my arm!" She was so funny about it. I will never forget Susie Stump!!

We need to get her on here for other reasons. She should have the inside scoop on the reunion.

I remember my first encounterwith Bethany's arm. Freshman year we were playing softball for wellness. Bethany hit the ball and her arm came flying of attached to the bat. Freaked me out cause I had no idea. The watched the bat/arm fly through the air while the ball rolled right by me. I was trying to figure out why no one else was shocked and then I got it and felt like an ass. Everyone yelling at me to get the ball and I am staring at bat/arm.

I talked to Jake at our reunion and he said Bethany was doing some volunteer work at Vandy again. She was the sweetest girl I ever met. I'm not ashamed to admit that I have one of those non-lesbian crushes on her. You can't help but love her.
