Without Division II i could understand why the budget suffered, because the school really did not contribute that much anyways. There has been a band reunion after I graduated because Mr. Senn was at Ezell.

The school actually agreed to pick up the slack in the band budget. I don't know for sure if they got DivII back. Actually, I think they have a big director's meeting in the summer, so I don't really know if it's really been decided. It is totally weird for me watching Lori run a guard practice, but she is really good, better than I was. The band has wussed out majorly. I got in trouble for yelling at the girls when they weren't trying. Also, I was at band camp one year setting drill and everyone was at attention. Except for the field commander who was sitting on the podium, with her shoes off, drinking water. I asked her, if they don't get to have their shoes off, and they don't get to sit down and have a water break, why do you? She got all mad and sent her mother to give me a stern talking to at the end of the week. The mother told me that she is the field commander and her feet were hurting so she gets special priveldges. I explained that she is a leader and should lead by example. wussies!

we did have a band reunion about 4 years ago. There were about 50 people to show up. It was fun, but I really wished there were more alumni from my years in band.

I won't be able to come if it's in June. My manager is on vacation then, so I have to hold down the fort. The next time I come to town we can have a "Who wants to see David Baker" reunion.

LOL - I'm not sure - it may not be until around Thanksgiving or Christmas that I get back to Nashville. It will most likely be sometime in the fall.

There's also a reference to a band reunion on Facebook. Angela Green is talking about having one. It would cost money, I hear. Oh well, I just thought y'all would like to know if you didn't already. Sorry I didn't say it sooner.

Thanks, Brandi, but don't plan around me. We'll be within driving distance by next Fall and I'll be a lot more available then.

Also, Mr. Senn travels with the GHS groups that Mr. Johnson and Coach Hamlett take out to Europe. He's still quite intertwined with the school despite all that happened.

i would love to see everyone again, it would be fun. Mr. Senn does all kinds of traveling since he retired and after his surgery. He is leaving in hendersonville now with Davy and Becky. I run into him all the time.

I just got this from a friend today - "a little band get together of sorts this Saturday at Bob Evans near Gaylord Opryland Hotel around 8am." I won't be able to go, because I'll be on a long-desired trip. I wanted to pass it along. Smile
